At Dirtbags we make things from waste materials, turning otherwise discarded textiles into new gear for your next adventure

Dirtbags was founded in 2017 by Jen and James, two creative and thrifty young climbers determined to make use of their old ropes. A bit of mad creating, and one sewing machine found in a skip later... Dirtbags was born:

2017 - One domestic sewing machine tucked into the corner of Jen and James’ bedroom

2021 - The team nabs at stand at the infamous KMF, and Jen & James get hitched!

2022 - Dirtbags HQ moves to Kendal

2025 - After 8 amazing years, Jen hands the reigns over to Jos and Rosanna (also the co founders of Snowdonia Gear Repair) and Dirtbags moves to North Wales!
